This recipe was handed down from my grandmother.
In a large mixing bowl, combine:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
In a small mixing bowl, mix well:
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 cups milk
6 tablespoons butter, melted (use butter, not margarine)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
With a wire whisk, blend the milk and egg mixture into the flour mixture.
Use 2/3 cup in a greased 7" waffle iron.
This is great topped with cream cheese and fruit slices or fruit yogurt.
