German Waffles

Another recipe similar to my Favorite Sunday Waffles, and another hand-me-down from relatives.  I have no idea if these are of German origin, that's just the name on my recipe card.  These are a bit heavier and richer than the Favorite Sunday Waffles due to additional flour and using butter instead of cooking oil.

In a large mixing bowl, combine:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons white sugar

In a small mixing bowl, beat together:
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups warm milk
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Use a wire whisk and mix the milk and egg mixture into the large mixing bowl.

Use 2/3 cup batter in a greased 7" round waffle iron.  Cook until golden brown.
